APRN - Plastic Surgery
Advanced Practice Registered Nurse will assist surgeon with clinic, organizing visits and performing clinic procedures, assist in the operating room, answer pages and round on post-operative patients on a daily and PRN basis. APRN will be responsible for managing care of both inpatient and outpatients pre-operative and  post-operatively, answering telephone inquiries and filling prescriptions. Nurse must have a high level of expertise to perform assessments/diagnosis/treatment of actual/potential problems of patients.

The APRN will extend the patient care and administrative services of the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences physicians. APRN will be expected to provide comprehensive health assessments, determine diagnoses, implement treatment plans, prescribe medical treatments and manage health issues for patients in collaboration with the designated physicians. The APRN will work autonomously as well as in collaboration with a variety of individuals to diagnose and manage patient's health care problems; and will serve as a health care resource, interdisciplinary consultant, and patient advocate. The APRN will also coordinate the multidisciplinary care of patients, facilitating all necessary consults, assuring that care is timely and appropriate.

Valid License as a Registered Nurse by the State of Arkansas Required and APRN License (Adult-Acute Care) Prescriptive authority and DEA license must be obtained after hire. Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program with a Masters in Nursing National Certification(Acute Care) as an APRN Direct RN Nursing Care experience with 2 years in a clinical environment evidence of experience in leadership or independent practice roles, Demonstrated communication (written and oral) problem-solving, leadership and collaborative skills, strong patient advocacy and patient education skills
