UAMS Residency Program Director - Dermatology
The Department of Dermatology and the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences is now recruiting a full-time faculty for Residency Program Director, who is board-certified in dermatology. The academic rank will be commensurate with experience and may be at the Assistant Professor to Professor level. The position is full time and the faculty member will be responsible for clinical service directing patient care and directing residency education. The educational role of the faculty member will be to develop educational agendas to meet ACHME and ABD standards, and provide residency teaching, education and clinical care in a categorical dermatology residency program. UAMS has three residency positions each year. There is also an approved pediatric dermatology fellowship program at UAMS. There is an opportunity to develop subspecialty clinic, including complex-medical dermatology and pediatric dermatology.

The faculty member will provide service to the diverse population of Arkansas and contribute to outstanding clinical care in a collegial environment at UAMS. UAMS Dermatology includes services at the Arkansas Children’s Hospital and Veteran’s Administration Hospital. The medical center includes multiple institutes and includes the Winthrop P. Rockefeller Cancer Institute, Donald W. Reynolds Institute on Aging, Harvey and Bernice Jones Eye Institute, Translational Research Institute, and the Psychiatric Research Institute. There are ample opportunities to participate and collaborate in scholarly research throughout the medical center and professional colleges that include the Graduate School, College of Public Health, College of Health Professions, College of Pharmacy and College of Nursing.
