Chicot Memorial Medical Center, situated near the banks of beautiful Lake Chicot, is recruiting a Family Practice Physician to our Family Medical Clinic, a provider-based rural health clinic. Our clinic, located inside our modern, clean and vibrant hospital, is currently staffed by a General Surgeon and two Nurse Practitioners. Our providers meet the needs in their specialties as well as providing Primary Care. Our clinic also has a new Dentist who provides comprehensive dental services for our patients. Our providers are eager to welcome a new member to the team and work to assure your success. 

This position will be the center point of our Family Medical Clinic and take the lead to continue our growth. We will provide a guaranteed base salary with unlimited potential for reward as growth occurs. Our general surgeon is committed to our success and if you are a newly trained physician, he will be very helpful as a consultant as well as a teacher in the area of procedures and advancing the scope of your practice. Our nurse practitioners are great team players with a strong background and will be good team members in your practice. This is an Outpatient focused position and no call is required due to our Hospitalist service, although if you want to follow patients in the hospital that is an option.  

 

Chicot Memorial Medical Center is located in Lake Village which is in the Southeast corner of Arkansas. Lake Village sits on the banks of Lake Chicot, which at more than 5000 acres and 22 miles long, is the largest Oxbow lake in North America and the largest natural lake in Arkansas. Lake Chicot is a popular spot for fishing, bird watching and water sports. Lake Chicot State Park is on the Northern bank of the lake and has many opportunities for recreation. Close to the Mississippi River and its rich Delta soil this area is a major agricultural area. Located on the Mississippi flyway and with vast woods and waterways, it is also an excellent area for hunting and fishing. We enjoy excellent local support from the community and the hospital and clinic are seen as essential for the continued success of our town and surrounding area. 

 

Our current providers are eager and supportive for the addition of another team member. The practice has a strong local following and has room for major growth. Being located inside the hospital has great advantages such as quick access to our emergency department, a level 4 trauma center, easy access for patients who need additional studies and additional assistance in the clinic if ever needed. Our Radiology department has MRI, CT, Digital Mammography, Ultrasound and plain films. We have an Interventional Radiologist performing on-site services weekly. We have a very well equipped OR, a modern Laboratory, strong OP/IP Physical Therapy services, Swing Bed Program, Home Health, Intensive Outpatient Behavioral Program, EMS, Sleep Lab, Wound Care and Interventional Pain service. Our OP Specialty Clinic includes Cardiology (2), Nephrology, Urology and Psychiatry with more to come! This will be an excellent opportunity with lots of support for the right candidate.
