Psychiatry APRN/PA
The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences Psychiatric Research Institute/Department of Psychiatry has an opening for an APRN/PA in the Crisis Stabilization Unit.
The Physician’s Assistant or Advanced Practice Nurse will augment psychiatrist’s ability to provide medical services to patients; collect and document data, conduct diagnostic procedures, order and schedule laboratory studies and professional consultations and provide direct patient care services for the Pulaski County Regional Crisis Stabilization Unit, which is a clinic under the UAMS Psychiatric Research Institute.
Required Experience:
The Physician’s Assistant or Advanced Practice Nurse will augment psychiatrist’s ability to provide medical services to patients; collect and document data, conduct diagnostic procedures, order and schedule laboratory studies and professional consultations and provide direct patient care services for the Pulaski County Regional Crisis Stabilization Unit, which is a clinic under the UAMS Psychiatric Research Institute.
Required Experience:
- For APRN: APRN License, Master's Degree with National Certification psychiatric/mental health specialty is required for hire; Prescriptive Authority and DEA License must be obtained after hire.
- For PA: Physicians Assistant Degree from qualified PA program within 60 days of hire; Physicians Assistant Certificate of registration with the Arkansas Medical Board or be certification eligible, and be certified as a Physicians Assistant by the National Commission on Certification of Physicians Assistant.
