Academic Geriatrician
The Department of Geriatrics is seeking a fellowship-trained, board-certified or board-eligible Geriatrician for a faculty position at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) in Little Rock Arkansas.   This is a great opportunity to join a well-established, free-standing department of Geriatrics, ranked in the top 10% of geriatrics programs in U.S. News and World Report.  

Our clinical programs include an outpatient clinic, nursing homes, assisted living facilities, home visits, palliative care, and inpatient.  Our team includes a multidisciplinary staff of board-certified geriatricians, advance practice nurses, physician assistants, a pharmacist, social workers, nurse case managers, psychologists, neurology, and psychiatry.  

In addition to clinical duties, our physicians are directly involved in teaching 4th year medical students, family and internal medicine residents, and APN and PA students.  Ample research opportunities are also available.  

The compensation package includes competitive base salary and rank commensurate with qualifications and experience, relocation allowance, paid CME, comprehensive health and dental benefits, retirement savings plan with match, paid malpractice insurance with tail coverage, and a generous paid leave plan (vacation, sick, and holidays).
